How do I know what size of letters to order?

How to choose a letter size  Your choice of letter size depends on the amount of space that you want to fill, the statement that you want to make, and the amount of money you would like to invest in your design. An average letter size for a wall is 4-6 inches for a single line saying.  We suggest that you use an actual measuring tape to get a visual of what the letter size would look like in that space. Please keep in mind that some fonts are “heavy” while others can be very “delicate”. What is the look that you are going for?

Choosing a font   A good thing to remember about fonts is that every font is different. Some fonts have very fat letters while others are tall and thin. Some fonts have very tall letters (t,l,b,d) and very low letters (y, g, p, f). If you choose one of these fonts, please remember that the core letters (a,e,n,r,s,n, etc.) are going to be much smaller than the overall size of the font. 

Some fonts have a “worn” or “aged” look.  These fonts have jagged edges.  If the letters’ edges were straight, the font would look very different.

Can I make up my own quote?

Yes.  You can design and format your saying on our website to appear in as many lines as you prefer.  You can also order your saying in a single line and then cut and separate the words in any manner you choose.

If you want your Written Decor centered  please note in the comment section "center" when you place your order.  You may center it by adding spaces when you are typing in the quote. 

Are there surfaces this type of lettering won't work for?

This lettering sticks to almost any smooth surface like painted walls, glass, mirrors, and smooth metal and wood. Written Decor can be applied to lightly textured walls. Rough or uneven surfaces like cinder block, brick, porous aluminum, or stucco surfaces are not good surfaces for this product.
 

What if I don’t like it, what is your return policy?

We offer an unconditional 30-day, 100% money-back guarantee on our products. We will refund the amount of your product, or re-work your lettering.  Simply call us to communicate the problem and return the unwanted lettering to us within 30 days.  Product must arrive in good conditions without creases.  If you need to increase the size of your lettering, you simply will need to pay the difference in the cost as well as the new shipping and handling charge.  We ask that you please measure correctly and accurately before you order.  Please double check the "actual size" you have been given with the space you have available on your wall. 

 All monitors will display colors differently.  To be certain of a color, please send a sample request with your mailing address to info@writtendecor.com.

Is the lettering removable?

Yes.  Slightly heat up the lettering with a blow dryer and gently peel from the wall.  The lettering is very wall friendly.  However, we can not be responsible for any damage that could occur.  Once the lettering is removed it can not be re-used.

How can I pay?

We accept credit cards, Money orders or Gift Certificates.

What are my shipping options?

For U.S. delivery, we use Priority Mail. We charge a flat fee of $7.95 for all orders.  We do our best to get the orders out the door within 5 business days. It then takes 2-3 business days on the average for packages to arrive within the continental US.  Express Mail is available for an additional fee. Please call for details.

Canadian Customers- We charge a flat rate shipping and handling of $7.95.  Please allow 10-14 business days for your package to arrive.

 
Can I get a free swatch in my chosen color?

Yes you can. Email us with your name, address, and the color(s) you want to see. info@writtendecor.com
